The People of the Books coalition exists to invite our Muslim neighbors to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We operate book tables in Dearborn city parks where we invite passersby to take a free book and have a conversation about God. We have right here in Dearborn a mission field rich with opportunities, with people who don't yet know Jesus and are very open to talking about religion. We'd love to have you join us!
We are a community of local believers with a zeal to win the hearts of Muslims to Christ through the exercise of gospel-saturated conversation evangelism. We call ourselves the "People of the Books". We are a loosely organized 'coalition' of pretty average people who represent various area churches, ministries, and missions organizations, each of whom has different levels of experience and cross-cultural evangelism skills. Some are vocational missionaries and others are volunteers. Some are seasoned veterans while others are brand new to this kind of evangelism (or any kind). Some are committed to using a 'new' methodology called the Master Key, but most have their own method or are experimenting with what seems to work best. We all try to learn from each other. When we get a seeker or a new believer, someone on that team invites them to their church or to some other gathering such as Ratio Christi's backyard campfire-BBQ-Bible study every weekend at Scott's house.
